3. Aqurio accessibility plan
The following plan documents how Aqurio removes accessibility barriers for persons with disabilities. It is reviewed annually and covers our U.S. operations.
3.1 Employment
Aqurio periodically evaluates HR processes and systems to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion for persons with disabilities. Actions include enhanced onboarding materials highlighting available accommodations, management training on inclusive hiring practices, and feedback mechanisms through HR. Pre-employment tests are reviewed to prevent inadvertent exclusion.
3.2 Built environment
No barriers identified. Most Aqurio employees work remotely. Office locations are built to current accessibility standards and require no accessibility updates during this plan period.
3.3 Information and communication technologies
Identified areas for improvement include language simplification in digital tools and consistent closed captioning and described video availability. Actions include:
- Language simplification across digital platforms.
- Consistent captioning and described video for recorded content.
- Regular portal and product testing for WCAG compliance.
- Development of internal accessibility guidelines.
- Employee training on accessibility principles.
- User feedback collection mechanisms.
3.4 Procurement
Aqurio incorporates accessibility standards into vendor evaluation and supplier contracts. Vendor managers receive training on accessibility expectations, and existing vendors are surveyed regarding their accessibility practices.
3.5 Design and delivery of products and services
Aqurio's platform includes accessibility features including speech-to-text and natural language processing. Actions include:
- Continued third-party testing during development phases.
- Internal feedback collection on accessibility features.
- Customer surveys and advisory board queries regarding accessibility needs.
- Reference material updates for internal teams.
